Privacy Policy
Spotter Connect Privacy Policy
Effective: July 12, 2026
This policy explains what Spotter Connect collects, why it is used, and how members can control their information. This is a launch draft for legal review.
Information we collect
- Account details such as Apple or Google sign-in identifiers, email, authentication logs, and support messages.
- Profile details such as your public first name, age, gender, match preferences, relationship intent, fitness goals, two face photos, one full-body photo, verification status, and selected profile options.
- Safety and verification information such as the first name and age confirmed from your government ID, government ID checks, live-selfie checks, public-photo identity review, report history, block history, and moderation decisions. Spotter Connect calculates your age from the provider-confirmed date of birth but does not store the exact date of birth, your last name, or a government-ID image as profile data. Authorized reviewers compare public photos with the identity confirmed by our verification provider; government ID images are not displayed to members.
- App activity such as Spots, passes, rewinds, Super Spots, viewed profiles, matches, greetings, chats, purchases, device data, diagnostics, and location when permission is granted.
- Product-support information you choose to submit, including bug-report descriptions, reproduction steps, expected results, and optional privacy-safe app and device diagnostics. Bug-report diagnostics do not include messages, photos, precise location, or identity documents.
How we use information
- To create and secure accounts, verify age and identity, prevent bots and scammers, and enforce community rules.
- To show approved paid members within the selected 25, 50, 75, or 100 km Explore radius, label travel mode, personalize filters, and operate matching, messaging, and safety features.
Location privacy
- Spotter Connect needs location permission to show nearby members and prevent accounts outside the allowed region from appearing in Explore.
- We use location to calculate distance and radius. We do not show exact coordinates on public profiles. Nearby is a separate mutual opt-in feature limited to 30 km and shows only rounded distance and coarse map pins.
Sharing
- We share information with service providers that help run Spotter Connect, including hosting, database, authentication, analytics, messaging, payment, receipt validation, SMS/email, identity verification, and support providers.
- If you choose Safe Meet, your device share sheet can send the other member’s public first name, verification status, activity, date, time, and public meetup location to a trusted contact you select. You may separately choose to add a one-time map link for your current location. Spotter Connect does not select the recipient, send that location to the other member, or store the one-time location in the Safe Meet plan.
- Information may also be shared when required by law or needed to protect members, Spotter Connect, or the public.
Retention and deletion
- We keep information while your account is active and as needed for security, fraud prevention, moderation, billing, backups, legal compliance, and dispute resolution.
- You can request deletion in the app. When deletion succeeds, your active profile and public profile-photo files are removed.
- Some safety, legal, tax, fraud-prevention, transaction, chat, report, or moderation records may be retained where required or needed to protect members.
- Product bug reports may be retained after account deletion for reliability and support, but the link to the deleted profile is removed.
Your choices
- You can update profile details, change preferences, pause your account, log out, disable notifications, revoke location permission, or request account deletion.
- You can cancel subscriptions through Apple App Store or Google Play.
